Job Summary
Miscellaneous Metals, Inc., an award-winning specialty trade contractor, is seeking a CDL Driver (Class A) to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe driving, reliability, and a strong focus on safety while transporting materials locally within the DMV area. Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle, including 47’ and/or 55’ trailers, to transport materials to and from job sites in the DMV area.
• Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition and report any vehicle defects or safety issues promptly to the management team.
• Secure and unload materials as needed.
• Ensure all required DOT documentation is completed, including delivery logs, receipts, and vehicle maintenance records.
• Maintain a clean driving record and comply with all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and site personnel.
• Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients and vendors.

Requirements

• One plus years of commercial driving experience required.
• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record (DMV/MVR record with no major violations or accidents within the last 3 years).
• Must currently hold or be able to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission.
• Strong focus on safety and reliability.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and operate the vehicle safely.
• Strong work ethic.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
• Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policies.

Essential Physical Functions:

• Ability to see and hear clearly to ensure safe driving.
• Ability to safely and frequently enter and exit the vehicle.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to maintain focus and stay alert while driving for extended periods.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform vehicle maintenance tasks, as needed.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate driving requirements.
• Ability to meet FMCSA drug and alcohol testing requirements, including pre-employment, random, and post-accident testing.
• Maintain a valid DOT medical card throughout employment.
